We worked with a client who wanted to step away from the more traditional HR model and approach, which often sees HR teams policing processes, policies and procedures. Our client wanted to grow a culture which encouraged people to take more personal responsibility and to take accountability, a more ‘grown up’ approach.
One of the things we did was to design a new modern approach to the traditional appraisal, supported by new technology and L&D partners.
We replaced the traditional once a year process which is way past it’s sell by date, with a process that allowed for regular "check in’s" and feedback given in real time. This was launched alongside a new coaching ‘model’ providing coaching support for everyone and embedding this as the go to approach for learning and development.
